Etna is a Thai glass workshop where three generations of knowledge remain visible in every piece. Small changes in thickness, curve and weight record the movement of heat, breath and the maker’s hand.
The workshop outside Bangkok began in 1973. Some of today’s artisans are the children of people who worked beside the founder, so the knowledge has stayed with the people still making. Etna gives us useful glassware with the clarity of a familiar form and the individuality of handwork.
