Kent has made brushes and combs in Britain since 1777. The long history is useful because it has produced an unusually deep knowledge of bristles, cushions and shapes for different hair textures, scalp needs and styles of grooming.

Some brushes use natural bristle to distribute oil and polish the hair; others combine nylon for detangling or softer materials for sensitive scalps. Kent makes it possible to choose a brush for the job rather than by appearance alone.
