SASAWASHI

Sasawashi combines Japanese washi paper with kumazasa bamboo-leaf fibre to make a fabric that feels dry, light and far stronger than expected. The material breathes, resists odour, retains warmth when needed and blocks more than 98 percent of UV rays.

Those qualities make particular sense in socks, slippers and textiles worn close to the body. In Bangkok humidity, Sasawashi stays comfortable because the performance comes from the fibre itself rather than a synthetic surface treatment.
