DESCRIPTION

Tochin is a multi-purpose Ohitsu (rice warmer) made from porous Iga clay that allows air circulation, keeping cooked rice fluffy and not mushy similar to traditional Japanese wooden ohitsu.

Microwave-safe, it is ideal for reheating rice or quick steaming dishes. Soaking the bowl and lid briefly in water creates a natural steam effect during heating.

Tochin also works beautifully as a serving bowl for rice bowls, noodles, or shared dishes,
and can be used to serve cold foods by soaking and chilling beforehand.
